The Ray-Ban eyewear brand was founded in 1937 in the United States by German eyewear manufacturer Bausch & Lomb.

Lieutenant John Mac Cready asked these opticians, who had emigrated to the United States, to develop glasses that would provide panoramic protection, and that's how the Aviator glasses and the famous gray-green G15 sun lens were born.

More than 80 years after the first Aviator model was launched, it is still in vogue and has been reinterpreted by Italian manufacturer Luxottica, owner of the Ray-Ban brand since 1999.
This brand has been the number one seller of sunglasses and prescription glasses in France and worldwide for many years.

Ray-Ban, more than a brand, an identity, a standard

Over the years, Ray-Ban has become a celebrity accessory. Frames recognizable on the heads of all celebrities around the world have allowed Ray-Ban to finally become the standard for eyewear, the fashion accessory, the must-have accessible to all. Indeed, Ray-Ban glasses start from €139, frame and lenses included, and everyone can find their pair as the range is so wide.
